Letter to the Community
Mission: True Purpose is a
Jesus Christ-centered, residential, 12-15 month discipleship program. We are
aiding individuals in redirecting their life by sharing God’s values and
principles. Our classes teach the men enrolled to take responsibility for
themselves and others while allowing God to reshape their lives through
counseling and discipleship through the Word of God. II Corinthians 5:17… “Therefore if anyone is in Christ he is a
New Creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”
Purpose: The purpose of
this informative letter is to shed light on our intentions in bringing life
changing ministry and discipleship into our community. We understand that many
rumors may have been circulating concerning our arrival into this community and
our utmost intention is maintain a safe environment and family oriented
atmosphere. We not only help men with addictions, but also help countless
others who have been free of addiction and want to come to a Godly place to be discipled
and learn how to engage in marketplace and church ministry. Our aim is not only to reach the men enrolled
with the Good News of Christ but also to beautify our surrounding neighborhood
by service projects and benevolence ministries.
The Men Enrolled: The men enrolled go through a strict interviewing process. We are NOT a
prison ministry, we do NOT allow sex offenders to come in, nor do we ever
intend to minister to the above. We are NOT a detox facility, so we have no
medications on premise, or men taking narcotics, anti-depressants, or mood
altering drugs in our ministry. We are a nicotine free facility. None of our
men are active nicotine abusers. In Short, we reach the professional, the educated,
the hungry, the prodigal, the lost and the broken. All that we minister to have
one thing in common; they all yearn for a more intimate relationship with
We desire the community to take part in
our ministry in a hands on kind of way. We invite the surrounding neighborhoods
to our church services on Thursday Nights at 6 p.m. We also invite our
community to notify us of any beautifying projects that you would like or
ministry to take part in. These include mulching, lawn care, landscaping, or
any home repairs.
Pastor: I personally ask each individual in the community to contact me
personally with any questions or concerns they may have. I will personally sit
down and talk with each party to discuss any fears or concerns that our
presence brings to the community. I understand that many neighbors are
apprehensive of us. I understand, because I too have four young children.
Please contact me so that I can hear your concerns and you can hear my heart.

Thank you for visiting True Purpose!
We are a Jesus Christ-based school of ministry for individuals who have fallen short in life. The school is 12-24 months where the students learn biblical discipleship, trades in the work-force, and useful tools to be the husband and father that he is intended to be. We provide useful tools for reintegration back into society to be a hard-working, responsible, family focused Child of God. True Purpose has a vision to affect Knox and the surrounding counties by converting individuals to eventually change the communities and cities in Tennessee and other local states.
To provide restoration to broken individuals who have fallen short in life by enrolling them in a low-cost School of Ministry, while discipling them to be Sons and Daughters of God to destroy the works of the enemy.
Our Mission Statement:
I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. (John 5:30)
What is your True Purpose here on this earth? Is it to have a needle in your arm, trying to maintain what life you have left so that you will not get dope sick? Is it to walk in depression and unhappiness for the rest of your life? Are we created to steal from our family and friends where we find ourselves in jail for lengths of time until we get out and repeat the cycle? We can even be earning a huge amount of money that produces a form of happiness, but is it what we were put on earth to do?
John 10:10 says that Satan has come to steal, kill and destroy.....but Jesus has come that we may have the life from God, and have it more abundantly. We all have a purpose and calling to affect the world around us on a personal and corporate level with the gospel of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom here on this earth. We need to realize that we have a Heavenly Father that loves us and wants to adopt us into His family, while showing us our inheritance as Sons and Daughters of God. You are loved and Jesus has your own personal purpose and calling in him. Some are called to foreign countries, some are to preach, while some are called to minister to the hurting in their workplace, etc. Each calling is equally important and we believe that you will find it in your relationship with Jesus. Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired. Do you feel at times that you are just like the gentleman in this picture where you do not know if you can make it any longer? Rev. 3:20 says,Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Jesus is standing at the door of our hearts and He is knocking to come in and change our life for the better. It is our choice however, to let him in. He will not force his way into our lives like an unwanted guest. John 3:16 says that God loves us so much that he sent his only Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins and faults so that we can not only receive the free gift of heaven, but that we may also have the life that was intended for us before the world began. All you have to do is to admit that you have sinned, admit that Jesus came, died on the cross, and was resurrected. Then receive him into your heart and ask him to be the Lord over your life. Jesus says in John 3:3-5 that when we do this, we are spiritually born again and we become a brand new person in Him.You are no longer that addict, alcoholic, mean, angry, etc, person you used to be. 2 Cor. 5:17 says, If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things have past away, behold all things have become new.
It all starts with a simple decision to receive Jesus into your life to make him your God and Saviour.
